Sebastian Klöß is Head of Consumer Technology, AR/VR & Metaverse at the German digital association Bitkom. He is in charge of the NewTV and Augmented &
Virtual Reality working groups as well as the metaverse forum by Bitkom. This forum bundles Bitkom’s expertise on the topic of metaverse. Sebastian organises its metaverse roundtable series and
was responsible for the publication of a guide on the metaverse.
He is also the author of the Bitkom study “The Future of Consumer Technology”. Before joining Bitkom, he worked as an editor and was already involved with tech
topics at that time. Before that, he was a research assistant at Humboldt University in Berlin, where he received his doctorate in history for a thesis on the Notting Hill Carnival in London.
Sebastian studied history and modern German literature.
